Description

Several shots of my dungeon, based on several boxes of Mageknight 3D Dungeon pieces with customized and scratch built pieces added. The my dungeon is an on going project to enable my gaming group to play games of Mordheim, and WHFRP in a detailed 3D underground setting.

(1) Wizards study. (from left to right) The table is scratch built from balsa wood strips, not much to tell here really. I detailed the cupboard using details cut from empire pole-arms for the hinges and part of a clothing catch for the handles. The chair is a very simple construction from 3 carefully cut pieces of balsa wood. The wizards desk is again balsa wood, the book and scroll and from the Mordheim accessory sprue and the wyrdstone shard is the top of a warlocks staff. (2) The eating hall. The table is made from the slightly modified ends from a Heroquest table and balsa wood strips to make table top. The chairs are made in the same way as the chair in the Wizards study. The torch in the corner is made from part of a broken Heroquest candle stick (3) I found some grills (meant to be used on the decks of model ships) I had floating around in my bitz box were almost exactly the same size as the squares on the MK 3D dungeon floor tiles, so I went about carefully cutting out the central square from several floor tiles with a Dremil and an Xacto Knife and replacing them with grills. (4) weapons racks, the one on the left uses spears from the zombie and skeleton sprues while one on the right mostly uses weapons from the Mordheim accessory sprue. (5) The Throne is made from parts of the Heroquest throne, Chaos Warrior spikes, a flattened Empire shield boss, a bit from a railway bridge and yet more balsa wood.

Pretty cool-looking dungeon you got there!

It's the kind of project I'd like to work on myself, but for now I lack the time and space for it..
